Welcome

Annual Networking Meeting

ARTEZ, Inc. is an economic development agency serving the job creation and retention needs of seven municipalities on the north bank of the Allegheny River.  The communities participating are the boroughs of:  Aspinwall, Blawnox, Etna, Millvale, O'Hara, Shaler and Sharpsburg

The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and Allegheny County are providing seed funding for the agency and its Enterprise Zone.  The 1,614-acre Zone lies generally on the north bank of the Allegheny River and includes approximately seven miles of riverfrontage all within twelve miles of the Golden Triangle. In addition the Zone includes large commercial parcels along Pine Creek, a major tributary of the Allegheny River. There are three important watersheds in the Zone including Girty’s Run, Pine Creek, Squaw Run, and Guyasuta Run. The City of Pittsburgh is directly across the Allegheny River from the Zone.
